Now that the there is lengthening evening light, we will get our petanque sessions under way again. We plan to play on Tuesday evenings from 7.00pm onwards in the curling rink area at the Craiglockhart Terrace entrance to the woods. The first session is likely to be on Tuesday 10th May – look out for notices at the entrances and in the Notice Boards.
If you are an experienced petanque player, you will be very welcome back. If you have never played before, come along and have a go. Petanque is a dead simple game which can be enjoyed by players of any age and we will explain the rules to newcomers. It is fun, it is easy, it is even quite cool. Our youngest player to date was three and our oldest was ninety five. Petanque provides an opportunity to blether with old friends and to make new friends in a lovely woodland setting. Tea, coffee and nibbles are on offer and we have enjoyed some outstanding home baking.
