Easter Craiglockhart Hill is part of a wild and beautiful spot within the City of Edinburgh, less than three miles from Princes Street. There is an abundance of flora (and fauna) in the area, with hills, a very large pond, a stream, and – of course – lots of trees.
It is a local nature reserve (LNR) which comprises of woodlands and meadow with magnificent views over Edinburgh, Fife and the Pentland Hills from the top the hill and is an oasis of calm and beauty in the bustling city of Edinburgh.
The LNR is jointly managed by the City of Edinburgh Council (CEC), the Craighouse Partnership and The Friends of Easter Craiglockhart Hill Group (FECH).
This website aims to tell you more about the LNR, who FECH are and what we do and help you to make the most of this wonderful area. We are always grateful for feedback and you can give us your views by visiting the Contact page, and please follow and share any photos, videos or thoughts with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
