War Poets Walk – Sunday 8th September 2019

Discover the history and the poetry of the shell shocked soldiers who stayed at Craiglockhart Hospital, on what would have been Siegfried Sassoon’s 133rd birthday!

This year we will be looking in particular at The Hydra, the magazine written by patients of the hospital. The talk will be given by Catherine Walker MBE, the War Poets Curator at Napier University.

The walk will meet at the entrance at Napier University. Parking will be available at the university. The walk will finish at the green sculpture at the corner of Craiglockhart Road North and Colinton Road, a ten minute walk from the start point.

The walk will involve some uphill and downhill walking and walking up and down steps. Please wear sensible shoes and dress for the weather.

Free, donations welcome.
