2018 AGM details – please come along

Our AGM will be held on Thursday 22nd March at Meggetland Sports Centre from 7.00PM to 9.00PM.

The 20th AGM of the Friends Group will be held at Meggetland Sports Centre on Thursday 22nd March. As usual, there will be refreshments and home baking from 7.00pm onwards and the opportunity to chat with friends, neighbours and our Committee members. You can park close to the Centre and there is disabled access. We will start the AGM at 7.30pm. and aim to finish before 9.00pm.
We will be as brief as possible with the formal business of the AGM. We want instead to spend most of the time on planning for the future and on making sure we represent community interests. This year is perhaps the most important in the history of Easter Craiglockhart Hill. Our Local Nature Reserve is about to double in size as the woodlands around Craighouse transfer into Council ownership. Along with the land transfer, there will be a ring-fenced fund of £150,000 for maintenance and improvements. We need to make sure that key decisions are driven by the views of the people who live in our community. We need your opinions and questions and suggestions to shape our Community Plan. Easter Craiglockhart Hill is lovely but we want to make it even lovelier – please help us to do this by coming along to the AGM.
