Please view the video of the Flag Raising Ceremony celebrating our success having again been awarded a Green Flag for the quality of the LNR for a second year in a row. This is a great achievement. There are only 26 other parks and green spaces across the whole of Scotland that have been judged to merit green flag status.
The quality standards are demanding. The park or green space has to meet 27 criteria which include welcoming entry points, good footpaths, attractiveness, absence of litter, evidence of maintenance, a good management plan and biodiversity. The area must ensure that it is a good place for wildlife.
